OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta And Google Decline To Guarantee AI Agent Safety Under Questioning

On October 5, Council Speaker Julie Menin asked each company at a NYC Council hearing to assure the public that its agents would always follow safeguards against catastrophic harm. Menin said the Council is asking for “accountability, transparency and safety overall.”
