Reports indicate Oracle is cutting roughly 7,000 to 10,000 roles (unconfirmed by the company) after shedding about 21,000 employees, or 13 percent, in fiscal 2026. Capital spending reached $28.5 billion in the first quarter of fiscal 2027, against $8.5 billion a year earlier, with full-year guidance of $90 to $95 billion and reportedly tens of billions in new debt.
